Spotlight: The Three Bears

Dear Friends of TG SKI,

I wanted to give you a closer look at The Three Bears in Morzine, because there’s something about this chalet that a bedroom count alone doesn’t quite capture.

It sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms, but what really stands out is the space you have to enjoy together. The living and dining area is wonderfully generous, with room to settle into a sofa, gather around the table and spend a relaxed evening after skiing.

Outside, the terraces open up to incredible views, with a hot tub offering a particularly inviting place to take them in.

For me, that combination makes The Three Bears rather special: a luxurious chalet with plenty of breathing room for a smaller group.

Of course, choosing the right chalet is also about making sure the bedrooms work for everyone. The Three Bears has two lovely double bedrooms and a third room with two sets of bespoke bunk beds, sleeping four. It’s a layout that lends itself beautifully to certain groups, so let me walk you through it.

The second bedroom is another inviting double, with its own en-suite shower room. Both of these bedrooms can also be arranged as twins, which gives you more flexibility when deciding who sleeps where.

The third bedroom has two sets of bespoke bunk beds, providing four individual sleeping spaces, along with its own en-suite shower room. For children sharing a holiday, this could be the room everyone wants. For adults, the important consideration is being happy to share a bunk room. If that suits your group, you get to enjoy all that wonderful living space together.

So, who would I recommend it to?

Two families travelling together

With two couples and four children, the arrangement is especially straightforward: a double bedroom for each couple and a shared bunk room for the children.

One family, or three generations

For a single family, the bedroom options give you flexibility over how you spread out. For grandparents, parents and children holidaying together, the two double rooms and four-person bunk room could be a particularly good fit.

A group of friends

For two couples and four single friends who are happy sharing the bunk room, The Three Bears is well worth considering. You could agree a lower share of the chalet cost for those taking the bunks, while everyone enjoys the same luxurious communal spaces, terraces and views.

What I love about The Three Bears is the balance: beautiful bedrooms, space to come together and somewhere quite exceptional to unwind after a day in the mountains.

If you’re wondering whether the layout would work for your family or friends, just reply and tell me a little about your group. I’d be very happy to talk it through and help you find the right week.
