Wine
It's a cliche we know, but you really can't beat a glass of wine in front of the log fire after a hard days skiing. When we say a glass we mean a "good" glass and maybe a glass or two in actual fact. So, along with our friends at London based ‘The Vintner’ (www.thevintner.com), we have toiled and tasted many a wine (someone had to!) to select 5 fantastic wines to ensure maximum enjoyment for our guests with every sip and it's free flowing too so you can enjoy it throughout the evening. Don't forget that we also serve port with the cheese board, so leave room for a little tipple.
TG Ski Wine List
Reserve Saint Marc Chardonnay:
Grown on the hottest and driest soils of the Languedoc, southern France, this is a 100% Chardonnay with an abundance of flavours on the nose and glorious white flesh fruits and flowers when you drink it. This hasn’t seen any oak, only stainless steel, so retains its freshness. This is ideal as an aperitif or with fish and seafood.
Reserve Saint Marc Reserve Sauvignon Blanc:
100 % Sauvignon this reserve wine has a lovely pale yellow colour with green glints. The wine delivers intense aromas of citrus and exotic fruits with crispy and fresh notes in mouth, and is great with salads, fish, shellfish, and of course just on its own
Reserve Saint Marc Reserve Cab Sauvignon:
This is 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon and the bright purple colour opens out to give fragrances of black fruits and vegetal flavours. The first sip is soft and silky and the wine delivers fresh and spicy aromas. Enjoy this with all red meats and grilled dishes.
Reserve Saint Marc Syrah:
The reserve fruit is the best on the property and this 100 % Syrah does not let us down. A gorgeous deep red colour and intense aromas of red fruits and spices, this is a supple wine with silky tannins. The perfect warmer to enjoy around the fire, and at dinner it will compliment white meats and poultry.
Saint Roch Rosé:
Made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, from which you get great structure, this somehow still, manages to be fresh, fruity and dangerously delicious. A perfect refreshment after a hard day on the slopes
